1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files stored on a user's device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, software-development-kit identifiers and other browser or device storage. They may keep users signed in, protect accounts, remember settings, measure use and provide integrations.

2. Categories of cookies

Strictly necessary cookies

Required for authentication, account security, session management, CSRF protection, load balancing, fraud prevention and privacy/cookie preferences. Where permitted by law, these do not require optional consent because the requested service cannot properly be provided without them.

Functional cookies

May remember optional preferences such as language, interface and integration preferences. They activate only after consent where required.

Analytics cookies

May help us understand page use, navigation, errors and performance improvements. They activate only after consent where required.

Marketing cookies

If advertising or marketing technologies are introduced, they will be separately classified and will not activate before legally required consent. HireGate does not use Google Workspace API data for advertising.

3. Current cookie inventory

The exact cookie and similar-technology inventory is available through the Platform's Cookie Preferences interface. The production inventory must identify the name, provider, purpose, category, duration, and whether each item is first- or third-party, and must remain synchronized with deployed technologies.

4. Google services

HireGate may use Google services when a user explicitly connects a Google account. Google OAuth and Calendar API authorization are account/integration functions rather than advertising technologies. Google API information is processed under the Privacy Policy and Google's applicable user-data policies. HireGate does not use Google Workspace API data for advertising.

5. Cookie consent

Where consent is required, HireGate displays an interface that lets users make a genuine choice to Accept all optional cookies, Reject all optional cookies, or Manage preferences by category. Rejecting is as accessible as accepting. Optional analytics or marketing technologies requiring consent do not load before consent.

6. Changing your preferences

Users can change or withdraw consent any time with the Cookie Preferences control in the HireGate footer. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Necessary cookies cannot generally be disabled where required to provide the service.

7. Browser controls

Users may also delete, block or restrict cookies in browser controls. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent HireGate functionality from working correctly.

8. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Policy as technologies, third parties, legal requirements or HireGate functionality change. The current version and update date remain available on the Platform.
